PRACTICE TEACHING WEEK 5 (01/08/2022 - 05/08/2022)

 It was rainy gloomy week. It was raining heavily through out the week. We had holiday on Tuesday and Wednesday due to heavy rain.

I conducted achievement test on Monday in class 8.D. The students results were not appreciable. They didn't do well as I expected. It was quite disappointing. I gave the top scorers a fountain pen as a token of appreciation.I told them that I will conduct diagnostic test on Friday.

I conducted diagnostic test on Friday and almost everyone did well.

I also took innovative lesson in 9D and the students loved the idea of incooperating game into lesson. I conducted it as a team wise game and students had good competative spirit.

On Friday there were programs by the school radio team.

Overall a great week and i was able to complete 5 lessons as per my lesson plan.

PRACTICE TEACHING WEEK 4 (25/07/2022 - 29/07/2022)

 It was a fabulous week.

The school organized special speech to commemorate the Kargil Vijay diwas and also the death anniversary of our former president Shri APJ Abdul Kalam.

We got a holiday on Thursday due to karkkidaka vaavu.

On Friday, we had a special assembly and the agenda was to celebrate the nature conservation day.

The staff secretary of the school handed over a sapling of Ashoka tree to the school and Sarika teacher received the sapling on behalf of the school.

The students also took a pledge to conserve and protect nature. The school initiated a tree planting drive named 'Ashokavani'.

We also had the opportunity to hear the school radio program.

Students dramatized a chapter from the novel 'premalekhanam' written by Shri Vaikom Muhammad Bashir.

We didn't get much free periods this week. So lesson plans are still pending to be completed.

PRACTICE TEACHING WEEK 3 (18/07/2022 to 22/07/2022)

 It was an exciting week. The school was all set to celebrate the Moon day on July 21st.

Students made models of rockets and they were really proud of their work.

The school also showed students shortfilm related to moon day.

There was a special assembly to initiate a newspaper reading campaign in school in collaboration with Kerala kaumudi

Various clubs of the school school organized quiz competitions through out the week.

Viji teacher came for class observation and gave positive feedbacks. The students also cooperated well. I also had bitter experience from 9C during this week.Overall it was a great week.

PRACTICE TEACHING WEEK 2 (11/07/2022 - 15/07/2022)

 The second week too went well.

Classroom management still seems to be difficult.

We had the duty to serve throughout the week.

There was no assembly in this week.

The school clubs started functioning and the science club has announced few programs in relation to the international moon day.

The science club is planning to organize debate,skit,quiz competition and model making competition.

The literary club also organized a quiz on Kerala history for HS students.

A student of mine wrote an instant fun poem during the break time .

He was very proud and happy to share it with me 

The second week went great ,we got free periods and I was able to complete 4 Lesson plans this week.

SECOND PHASE PRACTICE TEACHING WEEK 1 (04/07/2022 - 08/07/2022)

 The second phase of the teaching practice began on July 4th 2022.

I was allotted to the GHS, Avanavancherry.

The first week went well though the classroom management is quite difficult.

It is my very first experience to teach in a mixed school 

We also have the daily duty to serve lunch to students.

There was a special assembly on Tuesday to commemorate the dear anniversary of shree vaikom Muhammad Bashir.

The school organised a reading program named 'vayana kalari' in school in collaboration with malayala Manorama.

The SPC students ne ade all the students to take a pledge against drugs and alcohol on the Anti Tobacco day 

There was a school assembly on Friday and the agenda was to imagruate various schools clubs.

A faculty from DIET was the chief guest.

The first week went well though it is quite difficult to manage the boys.

I hope I'll be able to improve my classroom management skills.

INNOVATIVE WORK

 

As a part of the innovative work, I have made a video.

The theme for this video is a WhatsApp group chat taking place among Non metals.
